For the past few years we have tried to keep the registration cost as low as possible, even with the rising cost of the hourly ice rental.
This unfortunately has resulted in the league running a deficit the last 2 years. in order to keep the league running and due to the increased cost of ice rental per hour, we have had to set the reg fees this year to $800.00 dollars, $750.00 dollars if full payment made at start of the season. the reg form willbe available to download from the forms page august 15th 2024.
League fees = $750.00 if paid in full at the start of the season
league fees =$400.00 Dollars first half payment
league fees = $400.00 Dollars second half payment

Well, another season is just around the corner, we will be looking at starting up sometime in september. the reg form will be update over the next week or so and unfortunately, the city has raised the hourly ice rates again so that will mean an increase in reg fees, yet to be determined, check back in a couple of weeks for updates

Hey guys, registration is now open for the 2022-23 season, you can download the reg form from the forms page as of now or pick one up from the Civic Centre after Sept 6th.
Unfortunately League Fees have had to increase this year due to the City’s increase in ice fees per hour, the last 2 years PROHL has tried to keep the cost down but incurred a deficit. League fees this year will be 625.00 for the full season, see reg form for details

2018 XMAS CUP CHAMPS
Attention all players, Minor hockey, Old-timers, and the Rec League are in desperate need of Referees, I have been notified that as of the end of this season we will no longer have any senior referees left to ref our games, this is a dire situation and Minor hockey is asking , Pleading that some of our players step up. Minor Hockey would like to put on a reffing clinic Dec 1st at no cost to anyone interested in doing the clinic. If we do not have anyone taking the clinic, hockey in Prince Rupert will cease to exist on all levels come Sept 2019. No refs , no games , its that simple.
Please contact Paul Cox if you are willing to help out officiating Hockey at all levels as this is a desperate situation, thank you and I look forward to seeing you all at the clinic DEC 1st 2018.

WELCOME TO THE 2018-2019 SEASON
Welcome to the 2018-2019 preseason information, there have been a few changes , see below:
NEW ICE TIMES: Ice time for the 2018-2019 season are as follows: Sunday 8:45 pm, Tuesday 8:45 pm, Thursday 10:00 pm
REGISTRATION FEES: over the last 4 years P.R.O.H.L has tried to keep the reg fees as low as we can, we have in fact lost money the last 2 years due to the ice user fee increase by the city. Ice user fees have increased every year and will continue to do so, so unfortunately to compensate for this increase the reg fee this year will be $ 480.00 per player, this might seem like a rather large jump but it is less than $10.00 dollars a month extra or 2 less beers a month, whatever way you want to look at it. The increase in cost will also help cover the cost of refs, since we have lost 2 of our senior refs this year we have to use the kids, we have to use 2 per game so our costs for refs will double. Players can reduce their reg fees significantly if they choose by reffing just a few games. P.R.O.H.L pays $30.00 per game to ref.
ON ICE ALTERCATIONS: P.R.O.H.L will be taking a zero tolerance stance on any aggressive behavior towards any player or on ice official, any fighting or abusive behavior could result in a permanent suspension from the league without any refund for the rest of the season and future seasons. ( please take this seriously if you want to play hockey in the P.R.O.H.L )
FIRST ICE TIME: first open ice will be Sunday September 9th at 8:45 pm, please ensure all fees are paid in full before coming to play , if fees are not paid you will not be allowed on the ice

These ice times may work for some and not for others but once again we have not been given much of a choice " Take it or Leave it" Please email me at RupertOldies@gmail.com to let me know if you are in or out so I have an idea of how many players we will have.
One other note, due to liabilities and insurance concerns, unfortunately no one will be able to step onto the ice if they are not fully paid up by SEPT 6th 2017, if you show up to the open ice without full payment you will not be able to play.
Sign up sheets will be available at the Civic as well as on this website from July 5th to September 6th , that should be adequate time to get your forms in.
Hope to see you all on the Ice this September, also don't forget about the ref clinic in September , we need refs, just saying.

Team Jerseys- Over the last few years we have had a large increase in missing Jerseys, these Jerseys are the property of the league and league sponsors and are not cheap.
It has been decided that all teams will be getting new Jerseys, and unfortunalty in order to keep a full set for the coming years, we will be asking each player to provide a ( Cheque ) $100.00 fully refundable deposit. Simply put, give the Jersey back , get your money back. Team Captains will collect the Deposit before a Jersey is assigned.
